I ONLY USE THESE NOW !

Tried them 2 times for mountaineering on snow/ice with temperatures between 2 and 6 degrees, so not very cold and reading the reviews I expected more in warmth than the standard socks I have used so far. The first time I had my feet always a little cold, while the second time was better,let's say feet at optimal temperature.... In both cases however, feet always dry despite wearing them for 6/7 hrs.

Beautiful comfortable techniques very high quality and comfort even in hostile conditions. Tested in remote areas of Abruzzo for extended period. Beautiful also the design when you walk and appreciate them you feel connected with the Dolomites supply chain that participated in their creation.

Very warm sock, I always use it for outings on ice falls and never suffer cold feet, very comfortable and always stays dry

With outside temperatures -5°C the feet were freezing cold

Although I suffer very much cold temperatures, with these socks I had no problem walking on the glacier at night to reach the Margherita Hut. Like the trekking version of the Elbec socks, they are extremely protective and greatly reduce the risk of blisters even when you stay all day with your boots on. While they are very warm, they are less thick than I expected, so they do not go overly tight on the foot in the boot. Highly recommended for mountaineering activities.

bought to replace a pair of Norwegian wool socks, warm and soft but flimsy, these Elbec ones are proving to be sturdier. It's important for me with a wide sole that my fingers are not constricted (comfortable fingers = warm fingers) Used on ice falls, recommended!
